The Attic Of Dee

My dog is a cheater. He isn’t a two-timing dog. No he is a serial cheater. A stranger could be going to the beach and come into my house, tell my dog about a trip to the beach and he would go. If a friend comes over to the house, my dog will cuddle up with them and when they get ready to go, he will basically pretend that he belongs to them. He will sleep in other humans beds like he knows them. Like he has always known them. He can go over to a friends house for weeks and not care as long as he can sleep in their bed and be cuddled.

I must say as his person, I have been nothing but loyal. It is just not a two way street with him. The other day at the dog park I decided to mess with him and when he got to far ahead, I started down the path the opposite direction. I knew that cheater was just waiting for another human to come along and he could pretend I didn’t exist. The look on his furry face when he didn’t see another human or me was priceless. For 10 years now he has cheated on me. Then when he saw me, he ran in my direction, he never runs to me, not even in obedience classes. No matter how much I cheer him toward me, he just walks, no matter the distance, he calmly walks. He doesn’t even trot! All the other dogs run with glee toward their people, but my dog just makes a fool of me. I am telling you he knows I will wait for him. He knows he can get away with his cheating ways. There are people that have dogs, that think they are god like. Nope not my dog. He just thinks I am some human he can use until the next one comes along.
